Dr. Andreas M. Finner graduated in medicine at the university of Lübeck and wrote his doctor thesis on experimental hair damage and hair care using light and electron microscopy in 2001.
During his residency in dermatology in Germany in 2001-2007 at the Free University and Charité University Hospital Berlin and University Magdeburg, he has been involved in the daily University hair clinic, hair research and clinical studies on hair loss treatments.
In 2005-2006 Dr. Finner completed a unique Clinical and Research Fellowship in Hair Medicine and Hair Transplantation at the University of British Columbia in Canada. He also trained with hair experts and hair surgeons in the USA in 2006.
In 2007, Dr. Finner founded the Trichomed® Practice for hair medicine and hair transplantation in Berlin, Germany. Since then, he has successfully treated thousands of patients. He also offers regular consultations in Leipzig.
Dr. Finner is an active senior member of several dermatological, hair research and hair restoration surgery scientific societies, for example the AAD, DDG, EHRS, VDHC and ISHRS.
He has acquired the reputable Fellow status of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery ISHRS. He was the editor of the society’s journal “Hair Transplant Forum International” 2016-2019. He has been awarded TOP FOCUS Doctor for Hair transplantation in Germany 2018-2026.
Together with his team, Dr. Finner regularly participates and gives lectures at international workshops and conferences to keep up-to-date with the latest instrumentation and hair transplantation techniques.
